Night Clubs and Event Centres Shutdown by Lagos Authority over Covid-29 Protocols

The Lagos State Government on Saturday and Sunday closed 11 premises including Event Centers, Lounges and Night Clubs among others for contradicting COVID-19 mandates.

The Director-General of the Lagos State Safety Commission (LSC) Mr Lanre Mojola made this divulgence after the sealing exercise in Lagos on Sunday.

Mojola said however the affected occasion centers initially notified the them regarding their goal to coordinate gatherings and occasions, but they neglected to meet the standards of the agency on conforming to COVID-19 protocols.

As per him, the number of people affirmed for the occasions was dwarfed with what the authorities met on ground when they visited the spots at the end of the week.

He said that those venues were fixed for resistance with COVID – 19 Health Protection Regulations of the State and Federal Government.

Mojola, who was addressed at the sealing of the property by Dr Wale Adeboje, the Events Safety Administrator of LSC, kept up that the implementation practice saw occasion centres, bars and night clubs sealed Saturday and Sunday.

The places, bars and lounges sealed among Saturday and Sunday include, UBC Club VGC, Sapearz Lounge Awolowo street Ikoyi, Bravo event centre Ogba, Ronite Event Center Iju Road Agege.
