Nnamdi Kanu, Northern Consensus Movement (NCM) Declared N100 Million Reward For Anyone Deliver Him To Nigeria To Face Treason Trial

The groups accused Kanu and the Eastern Security Network (IPOB’s militia wing) of masterminding the recent wave of attacks on Northern towns in the Southeast via what they called “hate speech” at a news conference in Abuja, the nation’s capital, on Thursday evening.

Dr. Awwal Abdullahi Aliyu, speaking on behalf of the Coalition, requested the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and the European Union to make it easier for Nnamdi Kanu to return to Nigeria and face the allegations against him.

“As active citizens of this country, Nigeria, we have taken it upon ourselves, as the Northern Consensus Movement, an amalgamation of more than 75 civil society groups of Northern extraction, to proclaim unequivocally that:

“Through his hate speech, we are declaring Nnamdi Kanu sought for crimes against humanity and inciting the slaughter of innocent Northerners in the southeast.

“We want him to be held accountable for the deaths and destruction of Northerners living and conducting lawful business in Nigeria’s southeastern region.

“As a result, we are offering a N100 million reward to anyone who can bring him alive, hale, hearty, and unhurt to us for transfer to the security agencies to continue his prosecution.

“We call on the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union, as champions of democracy, rule of law, and freedom of speech and expression, to kindly and respectfully respect Nigerian sovereignty and facilitate Nnamdi Kanu’s repatriation to Nigeria so that he can face his treason, as well as possibly new terrorism and genocide charges against innocent Nigerian citizens.”
