Shocking! Oyedepo Sack Over 40 Pastors From Living Faith Church, Sad!
Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer and Founder of The Living Faith Church International, better known as Winners’ Chapel, has reacted to the church’s recent dismissal of nearly 40 pastors.
Peter Godwin, one of the impacted pastors, resorted to social media to say they were fired for not earning enough cash.
“I was told by the management that the church does not function at a loss,” Godwin, who was in one of the church’s branches in Ekiti State, alleged.
“They also told me that the overall income generated from my station should be enough to cover my welfare and housing, thus I’m hereby sacked due to my poor income.”
In a video posted posted online, Oyedepo responded to the claim by saying that the pastors’ dismissal was not motivated by money, but rather by their failure, and that the church “has no patience with failure.”
“Why Oyedepo fired 40 pastors” is another article worth reading.
Money? Nonsense. We’ve never been without it, but we’ve never prayed for it.
“All we’re doing is obeying God, and He’s standing behind what we’re doing. “Wow, God,” he exclaimed.
“People are confused about our Ministry,” the GO said in response to those who criticized the sacking. “You know, they don’t bring in any money, that’s why they asked them to leave,” some people stated.
“We asked you to go because you are unproductive,” he continued. Unfruitful! Failure is unmistakable. What are you doing there? We don’t tolerate failure around here.
“Social media was dead when we employed 7,000 people at a time.
“In our organization, we have more personnel than most states. We don’t owe anyone a dollar, and we don’t borrow or beg. Check with our bank to see if we have access to an overdraft.
“We are covenanted together, working in the light of God’s word and enjoying an open Heaven.”
