Most bread are unhealthy in your diet for a number of reasons and here are a few.

Consuming bread regularly is harmful to your body. 

Here are the reasons why you should reduce taking bread.

Bread is one of the most consumed foods in Nigeria.

1. Increases blood sugar level

When you eat processed carbs, your blood sugar spikes, insulin surges, blood sugar crashes and you feel like sleeping, so you eat more carbs to bring yourself back up to consciousness.

2. It is Difficult to digest.

When grain is refined, the inner layers of the grain are removed. Which are fibre and protein leaving behind only starch. and this  causes the bread to become sticky, gluey mass when it’s mixed with the digestive juice your  stomach.  

It causes a toxic build-up in your body as it stays in your system for a long.

It also contains lots gluten of gluten that causes damage to the walls of the intestines, stooling inconsistency, bloating and tiredness .

3. It Accelerates weight gain

Well packaged and non-sliced bread contains highly processed carbohydrate because while refining all healthy nutrients has been removed.

It is also filled with refined sugar, preservatives, and salt.

If you consumed a lot of bread. It can make you add weight.

4. It Contains anti-nutrients

Consuming bread can slow the body’s ability to absorb nutrients. Grain is bad for the stomach ,it  causes inflammation of the stomach lining and it makes it difficult to absorb nutrients in foods.

5. It contains dangerous chemicals

Bread can be made in different ways and different flour treating agents is used to make the bread soft and fluffy. Agents such as iodate, potassium bromate and saccharine.
